One of the smaller rooms or cabinets of the enfilade that runs alongside the Large Skylight Room contains works by Spanish artists of the 15th to early 17th century. Visitors' attention is drawn to one of the masterpieces of the picture gallery - El Greco's painting of The Apostles Peter and Paul and other works by that great Spanish painter. The display also includes works by unknown 15th-century artists - The Entombment and St Fabian and St Sebastian, by Luis de Morales and Bartolome Carducho. Outstanding among the formal portraits of the early 17th century is a likeness of Diego de Villamayor by Juan Pantoja de la Cruz.
